At age 26, Don was set on a path that in order to survive and live, he had to heal those deep dark corners of his life. While this book is not a direct account of all that happened, the words here do form a picture of hope and possibility through trauma. Often when Don's world was upside down and it seemed as if he could not make it, he turned to writing to help piece the moments of his life back together. These writings have come together into a book depicting the path of healing in his life. While it has not been an easy journey, Don wants others to know that no matter what you have been through in life, there is hope and possibility though trauma.

This book has amazing words of wisdom and inspiration throughout this personal story of heartache and emerging back out again. His story gives much hope to those who are struggling with the difficulties of life. These life experiences and great insight from Mr. Shetterly are a treasure and gift to us all. Eye opening!

Don opens his life to us and shares his painful experience in a way that helps me discover how my experiences are affecting who I am today. I making me discover how some of my pains and nightmares are actually connected to my past traumas. I make me realize that I need to take action and look for help. Encouraging.

Whether you have been thru trauma or simply have felt overwhelmed with life, this is the book for you. The writings will lift your spirits and show you there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And more importantly, you are not alone in your pain. if you feel you don't need this, you know someone who does!
